400 already booked to attend women’s Yorkshire Business Festival in Barnsley

Just over 400 people have booked to attend the women’s Yorkshire Business Festival at Tankersley Manor near Barnsley on Thursday, October 1.

Following the success of the inaugural Yorkshire Ladies Links Conference in Harrogate, a new and unique business festival has been organised for South Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Business Festival, which is being hosted by former television journalist, Christa Ackroyd, invites women to network and shop around for services with over 40 exhibitors confirmed; whilst being inspired by eight award-winning business speakers, including teenage Barnsley business owner Eve Lodge (pictured below).

The festival will create an opportunity for women to swap notes, be inspired and make some invaluable contacts.

Commenting on the event, founder of Yorkshire Ladies Links, Melanie Malcolm, said: “Having welcomed a bus load of Barnsley-based women to our conference in Harrogate back in March, we knew that there was a real opportunity to introduce a similar event in South Yorkshire.

“This part of Yorkshire is home to some incredibly talented women and we want to celebrate this with an event that is centered around exceptional business women in the region.

“To ensure the success of the festival, we’ve taken a lot of learning from our first event, welcomed back some truly inspirational speakers and attracted new exhibitors and guest speakers along the way.

“We’re confident that this is what Barnsley is missing and we look forward to meeting everyone on the day.”

The Yorkshire Business Festival will take place on Thursday 1st October from 9.30am-4pm and is free to attend.
