The Spring Apothecarium is to return to The Civic on Saturday 15th April.
On that day The Gallery at The Civic will celebrate all things steampunk, goth and geek with the reappearance of the popular alternative craft market, which will feature stalls from around the regions selling handmade crafts, photography, jewellery and cosmetics.
The latest stalls that have been confirmed consist of UK based e-store Talk Geeky To Me offering a wide variety of Geeky goods from Anime, Manga, Cosplay, Sci-Fi and Alternative Fashions; Petite Boutique de Chocolat, a tiny chocolatiers from Nottingham specialising in delicious Geek, Sci-fi and Steampunk chocolate using the finest quality Belgian couverture; and, for all you coffee lovers, Common Man’s Gold, trading not just distinctive coffee but also hot chocolate and, to make your coffee journey easier, a whole range of coffee making accessories.
Appearing at the Apothecarium for the first time will be Gray’s Attic from Sheffield who will be selling decorative and seasonal items such as industrial and steampunk bottle lamps (see picture); and Skullduggery Ceramics from York, who combine a love of vintage textures and designs with Day of the Dead inspired skulls.
There will also be a live appearance of the Barnsley Percussion Ensemble and a unique children’s ‘build your own ray gun’ workshop, wherein children are invited to building their own cosmic ray gun out of everyday junk. Places are limited and can be booked via The Civic website.
The fair will also include refreshments and first time stall holders, Holmfirth’s Little Badger Cider Company.
The fair will be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm and admission is free.
