Following the success of a Cyber Crime Event organised by Active Response Security at Barnsley FC they have been asked to tour South Yorkshire to benefit Business in the Region.
The next venue is Rotherham United FC on June 1st.
The Event is a free breakfast meeting with complimentary breakfast and drinks.
The key speaker is Detective Chief Inspector Vanessa Smith of the Yorkshire and Humber Cyber Crime Unit.
The event is supported by South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dr Alan Billings who will also address the audience.
Michelle Bailey, of Active Response Security, will also speak on why security is affordable when both physical and technical skills are targeted in an efficient manner within a business.
In one recent poll it was reported that 82% of companies believed they were too small for a Cyber Crime attack.
Telling us that this was a very ill advised approach, Michelle said: “Cyber Crime is increasing at high pace and often has the benefit of seeming invisible. Its intention is to remain unseen, leave no fingerprints and never be caught at the scene. One incident can disable a business with severe consequences.
“There are a lot of Cyber Crime Events around but DCI Smith heads the unit that deals with our region. She is best placed to give advice to help protect business. This is an ideal setting to network and learn”.
The vent can be found on Eventbrite.
A capacity audience is expected with specialists on hand to offer support and advice.
