Staff at NPS Barnsley and Berneslai Homes receive their award at the LABC South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards.
Berneslai Homes and NPS Barnsley have recently been highly commended for two schemes at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards.
The first award was for ‘Best new Housing Development’ at Roy Kilner Road in Wombwell, Barnsley, a mix of 37 new build council homes.
The second award was for ‘Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development’ at Green Street, Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley, made up of six, 2 bedroom semi-detached homes. Both schemes were designed by NPS Barnsley and are complete and fully occupied.
The LABC Awards celebrate achievements in the construction industry and reward excellent buildings, outstanding companies, and partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile.
Berneslai Homes Director of Assets, Construction and Regeneration Stephen Davis adds: “We’re delighted to have been highly commended for two awards for these schemes which we have delivered on behalf of Barnsley Council.
“These new council homes have provided new spacious homes built to a high standard which are really energy efficient and it’s great to be acknowledged for this.”
Managing Director of NPS Barnsley, Karen Temple said: “It was an honour to work with Berneslai Homes to deliver much needed, high quality social housing for local residents. We are so proud that they were recognised at these prestigious awards and hope to create further schemes in future.”
