Help Berneslai Homes take top spot and put Barnsley on the map

Berneslai Homes have expressed  their delight at being again shortlisted for the 24 Housing Top 10 Social Landlords. Now they need your help and support.

The list has been shortlisted by a national poll by 24 Housing magazine. Berneslai Homes was shortlisted for some big achievements including: collecting 98.5% of rent and helping tenants gain £444,000 in extra benefits; moving services online with a 155% increase in eform use and 93% selfserve for lettings; tackling worklessness through an office and craft apprentice scheme; building and acquiring 320 new council homes, with a further £18 million programme to deliver 200 plus new council homes; bringing 45 private homes back into use; spending 75% locally, £2.3 million renewable energy income and 91% overall customer satisfaction with Berneslai Homes as landlord.

Berneslai Homes Chief Executive Helen Jaggar adds: “Despite the challenging times we continue to grow, be resilient, deliver excellent services and continue to be a partner of choice for Barnsley Council. We would really love the people of Barnsley to vote and help put Barnsley on the map so we can get to number one this year.”
