Last Saturday Birdwell Wheelers had three riders in the top 20 at the Valley Striders 25 Mile Time Trial at Boroughbridge on the old A1.
Dan Taylor had another top ten finish , his time of 55m 16s placing him eighth, and two places behind in 10th was Trevor Mayne in 55m 51s. Paul Mason completed the trio in 16th place in 56m 59s.
On Sunday Paul Heggie travelled down to Alton, Hampshire, to ride in the CTT (Cycling Time Trials) 100 Mile National Championship on the A31. On a very hot day, when 16 riders failed to complete the course, he finished 65th in 4h 49m 27s, setting a new club age record in the process.
Also on Sunday Dave Hudson , Roger Bacon, Roger Holmes , Steve Myatt, Paul Mynett and Greg Godley rode a 65 mile loop to Shireoaks.
Unfortunately Tuesday’s 10 Mile club time trial was cancelled due to bad weather. The 4th of the series will be held next Tuesday at 7pm on Park Springs.
Sunday’s club will meet at Brewers Fayre roundabout Brampton at 9:15am. More details on this and all the above can be found on the club website.
