Barnsley teacher gets on his bike to raise money for Hospice

A South Yorkshire English teacher is swapping literature for lycra to take on the Tour de Yorkshire sportive next month in support of Barnsley Hospice. Heggie breaks his own Wheelers’ club age record

Sixty-four-years-old Birdwell Wheeler Paul Heggie broke his own club age record by 14 seconds when he rode in the VTTA (Yorkshire) 25 Mile Open Time Trial at Topcliffe, North Yorkshire, last Saturday.
